What to Expect
Expect hands-on fun, supportive staff, and a mix of structured activities and all things Pokémon! The campers are going to learn how to play the Pokémon TCG, build decks, battle against each other, compete in a tournament, and have fun completing many more Pokémon themed activities!
Campers will be provided with cards to play and build decks with that they can keep after the camp is completed. The campers will also be given an introduction to how the official Pokémon tournaments work and the camp will be a launching point if they are interested in competing!
All instructors will be trained competitive Pokémon players with experience teaching Pokémon to kids.

Campers get ready for the day with a warm up activity such as Pokémon trivia, who’s that Pokémon, or Pokémon puzzles.

Each day the campers will have a lesson on a topic such as how to play, build a deck, look up the value of their cards, make fair trades, and many more topics!

Campers will battle against each other with guidance from instructors

Campers will be responsible for brining their own lunch, but we'll provide water and some additional snacks daily.

Campers will be given the opportunity to craft their own decks and get feedback from instructors.

Once the campers have built their decks they will get the chance to battle against the other campers. On the final day of camp there will be a tournament that follows the official structure used by the competitive Pokémon circuit!

We'll end the day with a closing circle before campers head home for the evening.
Camp Location
The camp is hosted at Toronto’s premiere card store, Banana Games. The store is conveniently located minutes away from Wellesley Station. Banana Games is spacious and has tons of natural light. The camp will have sole use of the play area during the day.

Yes! This camp is designed to teach someone who is a complete beginner how to play the game. There will also be Pokémon activities unrelated to the cards for them to partake in.

Depending on their level I would recommend checking out my competitive camp. If they’re fairly new to the game or just play at the kitchen table I recommend this camp for them.

No, I will be providing cards and decks for each camper. If they would like to bring their cards to camp that is ok, but I ask that they are responsible for taking care of them. Any trading will have to be approved by an instructor to ensure fairness.

Yes, early drop off is available starting at 8 am and late pick up is available until 5 pm. The cost is $10 a day.
